Postcards from friends

This week I receive two postcards. In an age of texts, emails, YM's and Skype; it is still a pleasure to receive old fashioned greetings.

F & J visited Rome for a week and their postcard says: having an enjoyable but footsore time in Rome. Have walked for miles visiting Colosseum, Vatican, Pantheon and Pompeii have the highlight up to now... Weather very hot and sunny and food is first class.

P went to Dordogne (France) with C and their postcard says: ...you will love this region - great cave sites, castles and churches. It's off season so it's also calm, the landscapes uncluttered and roads almost empty with excited tourists. ...It has been great travelling in time. Only the food's there to distract you ;-)!!
