We are 8 Years today!!!

Yeheyy, we passed the seven year itch with flying colours!!!

Hmm, I think Dennis and I had done well in the last 8 years. It is not nuclear physics to be in a marriage (but it is rocket science?) We both managed to find middle ground in almost everything now from who is in control of the remote and who should be doing the washing and food shopping!!!

Again, I still keep on thanking my God for the gift of Dennis.

Home Sweet Home

We decided that we need to do more for the house. Actually we did a bit in 2006.
We block paved the front yard - I know not very Eco friendly especially that we got rid of a big shrub thing, a type of rose shrub that has plenty of lovely pink flowers during the summer, a big sort of pine tree and two hollies. The front yard is now neat with railings and a little gate. To be honest - it looks boring, definitely no curve appeal at all. Solution!!! get planters during the summer to add colour to the front. So why the block paving then?!?
We decorated the kitchen. The kitchen needs sprucing up. It looks a lot better. We opted for a lighter yellow. It was yellow and it is still yellow ;-)
We just bought carpet for the bathroom and the kitchen (part of the kitchen). Dennis will do the hard labour - poor thing but this had to be done. I hope I picked the right type of carpet for the bathroom this time. The carpet I picked two years ago was horrible!!!! So I have to live with it for 2 years.
Oh and our toilet seat broke!! And buying a new one is not that simple. You need to have the exact measurement. It took us ages to look for the right size...The list goes on and on.
8 November
Well, we thought we will just change the carpet near the sink; we ended up changing the carpet in the whole kitchen!!! Obviously the carpet is bigger than the kitchen. We cut and rolled it in the backroad - ha ha ha!!! I was praying that we will not create a traffic jam (ha ha ha).
December
Auntie Fe is arriving on the 19th, so much to do: food shopping, clean house, put up Christmas decks. To be honest I was stressing. Dennis helped a lot; we were able to divide tasks.
January 2006
When everyone seemed skint and broke; Dennis and I are spending as if money is going out of fashion. We are stretched to the limit - I could already imagine
how red our respective bank accounts are. We bought a new mattress. Exciting right?

The 9 to 5

TIMES LIKE THIS....

1.There are times that you just want to go back home the moment you enter the office. 2.There are times that you either want to be an assasin or hire an assasin 3.There are times that you wish you are Superman and can read minds. 4.There are times that you know what it means: they know that you know what they know but you know that they know that you know!!! If that makes sense explain it to me!! 5.There are times that you just have to smile and bite your tongue. 6. There are times that it is definitely a big 'DUH' moment. 6. There are times that you can't do number 5

Ramblings

We break for Easter today. It is one of those 'I don't want to do anything day'. I am trying to wind down since 9.00 in the morning and it is now 4.14 pm and yes I am still winding down.

We (actually only me from my section) went down to the SCR to finish off left over cakes from last week's birthdays!?!

Then back to the office....

And then it is time for the lunch break!!!

Then back to the office...

Documents filed (check), emails answered (check) and voice mail changed (check).

Right, it is time to go home.

April

Where will I start? It is Sunday today, 1st April 2007. The sun is out ; the wind is chilly but no worries - it is a beautiful day!!! We attended the Palm Sunday service then picked up mommy eve for lunch. Yes, I am not cooking the routine Sunday lunch today. Yeheyy, I have a break.

After a hearty meal and a decadent warm pecan tart with vanilla ice cream I just want to lie down and sleep. Well, I sort of dozed off at the back seat of the car as Dennis drove to the moors. The drive is another tradition that has to be followed after a meal out.
